Reserve Price

A confidential minimum price set by the seller below which the item will not be sold. If bidding fails to reach the reserve, the lot passes unsold. Reserve amounts are never disclosed — before, during, or after the auction. If a lot closes below its reserve, the consignor may accept the high bid within 72 hours; any such sale requires the high bidder to confirm before anything is charged.
