Each one sits in a deep frame of gold-tone metal, its ribbed edges wrapped around the stone, and a raised interlocking CC rises from the side of the frame. On the back, a quilted roundel picks up the matelassé pattern so closely tied to the house. Beside it, an oval cartouche carries the Chanel signature, the season code 97 A and MADE IN FRANCE, which places the pair in the Autumn 1997 collection. The clip backs have clear cushion pads, and the pair comes in a black Chanel presentation box.
