Graded J–L in color, these diamonds sit in the "near colorless" range at the outer border of that category, and when set against platinum's bright, neutral tone the faint warmth in the stones becomes visible—a contrast that was sometimes deliberately employed in Art Deco and mid-century design to add texture and life to white-metal settings.
